I grew up in Tabriz, Iran (Azerbaijani Turk)—my beloved hometown, where my roots and identity were shaped. My father (Atam) ran a carpet shop in the city's historic bazaar, and as a child, I loved spending time there, watching him work and soaking in the vibrant textures and the rich, comforting smell of wool. I’m fluent in Turkish, Farsi, and English, and I’m currently learning French. Since 2018, I’ve been proud to call Canada home, mostly in Toronto, where High Park has become a special place of belonging.
